Jessica had me rolling most of our session…she has a quick wit about her with a nice dash of sweetheart. I kept teasing her about her beautiful prom dress telling her I know her mom is going to come home from work one day and she was going to be sitting on the couch watching TV in her dress eating ice cream…..I would totally do it if I had a dress like this, I think every girl no matter how young or old should have a dress this gorgeous.

This was a fun session…at first I didn’t think it was going to happen the weather was yucky and it was windy. I am so VERY happy we decided to shoot! Marcie was so much fun to work with and her puppy was so cute and entertaining. I love HS Senior sessions…. so much fun to work with. I just wish the weather was being a little nicer. I can’t believe I am saying this but I am so ready for some warm spring days I think I could even take on some hot summer days right about now. Whitney braved the cold and the long search in find of a parking spot downtown Salt Lake….but I think it paid off her photos are gorgeous I love her eyes….

For the record mom and dad let me hold this little guy at the end of the session and I think I kissed him about a hundred times before I handed him back. I just wanted to hold him and squeeze him and give him lots of love. He was just a cute little chunk of love…..yes he made me a little baby hungry. Did I mention he was just adorable……

The session was a lot of fun, I’ve found another fun family that I could just shoot over and over. Mom and dad are just about as cute as they come. I love seeing couples that have been married for a few years and still ooze love for one another. But I loved how much you could tell that this little guy makes their world go around.

Utah State Fair

Going to the State Fair with my family is something I look forward to every year. I love looking at all the animals, crafts, the fun exhibits like the GIANT Alligator or worlds smallest horse, the racing pigs and photography. I LOVE the photography exhibit we have so many talented photographers here in Utah. I’ve thought about entering a photo for the past few years but always found an excuse not to. Well, I finally got the guts to enter a few prints this year and to my surprise I won a Blue Ribbon.

This is my friend Vanessa and her family, cute huh! They are fun, crazy and all good friends with each other…very much how I think families should be. I got to spend the afternoon with these two…lucky aren’t I. They both have such warm sweet personalities that would make anyone smile. Chad was a wonderful sport it took me most of our session to get his name right…I think I called him Jeff, Chance, Eric...and even though I got it wrong 99% of the time Chad just smiled and did as I asked. We will be seeing a lot more from these two in the weeks to come their wedding is in April.

Isn’t she stunning! We looked everywhere for a location to shoot we were going to drive down south if we couldn’t find anything here in Salt Lake..but after several days of looking for a location in doors (due to rain) we agreed on the State Capital. To be honest I wasn’t super excited until I saw how uniquely beautiful it was inside. My favorite from the session is the very last one…love the small windows, all the pastel colors and the lovely Amber.

The best part of the night is that you could tell they were both hopelessly in love with on another. I had the privilege of attending Dustin Izatt’s Nightshoot Workshop last week and I am excited to start using all the fun techniques I learned. Dustin is a down to earth type of guy and extremely knowledgeable. So if you are a photographer looking to sharpen your skills with night lighting (or just starting out as a photographer) I highly recommend Dustin’s workshop. While your there check out his work he is a gifted photographer.

First I want to thank everyone who made 2008 such a great year for my little photography business! I'm excited to meet new people in 2009 and catching up with old friends.

With the new year I've decided to make a few changes, my session fee is now only $99, I will also be offering three collections that will save you a lot of $$. I’m still working on how I am going to offer digital files but for now the files will only be offered as part of a collection.
